HAND PAPERMAKING is pleased to announce
number ten in our series of distinctive portfolios...
Handmade Paper: Fiber Exposed!
The tenth portfolio in Hand Papermaking's ongoing limited-edition series -- Handmade Paper: Fiber Exposed! -- will spotlight a broad range of fibers in paper art, and the unique qualities inherent in a sheet when fiber is expertly manipulated by the papermaker. So often when appreciating an artwork made with handmade paper we learn only later, perhaps after reading technical details, that the artistic concept featured a particular fiber. In this portfolio, qualities of fiber in the art will be obvious at first glance, as fiber is the primary medium used to create imagery, concept, and content.

This portfolio is not simply a set of sample swatches. While we expect the
ultimate assortment to represent a wide range of fibers, both common and
unusual, we intend to compile a collection of superb 2D artworks showcasing the
imagination, skill, and originality of artists working with handmade paper.

mill in West Africa.
